What is special about our milk thistle, and what does 80% standardization mean?

Milk thistle's active compounds are a family called silymarin. Standardized to 80 percent means that at least 80 percent of the extract's weight is silymarin by our supplier's UV test, a method that often reads higher than more specific tests. Each serving of Clear holds 175 milligrams of organic seed extract.

Why is ACTIValoe in Clear?

ACTIValoe® is an organic aloe vera extract standardized to more than 10 percent aloe polysaccharides, so each serving of Clear provides more than 10 milligrams. It is there to support the gut lining and the bacteria that live along it.* In laboratory studies, gut bacteria fermented aloe gel and its polysaccharides, from other aloe preparations. We found no trial in healthy adults that measured what aloe alone does in the gut.
